We are seeking a detail-oriented Purchasing Coordinator to join our team.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the procurement process efficiently and ensuring the timely delivery of goods and services.
Responsibilities:
- Prepares and issues purchase orders according to S4 reports, kan ban, and approved purchase requisitions.
This includes ZIC orders as well as NB standard POs.
- Confers with suppliers concerning order acknowledgement, deliveries, receiving variances and invoice discrepancies.
- Coordinate import of containers and airfreight shipments, managing documentation and communicating with various stakeholders.
- Obtain freight quotes for incoming orders as requested.
- Maintain MRP data integrity, ensure material master info is up to date and accurate.
- Maintain Country of Origin and HTS commodity code information in S4.
- Assist with monitoring and auditing VMI stock.
- Support inventory counting, as necessary.
- Assist with monthly KPI reporting.

Minimum Education/
Experience:
High school diploma (or equivalent); Post-secondary education in business and /or purchasing an asset.
Language Ability:
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals; Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, suppliers, customers, and the general public.
Math Ability:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals; Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent; Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference; Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
