Summary:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Legal Secretary to join our team.
As a Legal Secretary, you will provide administrative support the attorney, ensuring the smooth operation of our legal practice.
Your role will involve managing files, preparing documents, and assisting with various legal tasks.
Responsibilities:
- File and organize legal documents, correspondence, and case files - Assist attorneys in preparing legal documents such as pleadings, contracts, and briefs - Maintain document management systems and databases - Schedule appointments, meetings, and court hearings - Answer phone calls and direct inquiries to the appropriate personnel - Prepare and proofread legal documents for accuracy and completeness - Assist in the preparation of trial materials and exhibits - Conduct legal research using resources such as Westlaw - Coordinate with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel as needed - Perform general clerical duties such as photocopying, scanning, and faxing Skills:
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously - Excellent administrative skills with attention to detail - Proficient in using document management systems and other office software - Knowledge of legal terminology and procedures - Exceptional written and verbal communication skills - Familiarity with proofreading techniques for accurate document preparation - Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information - Strong phone etiquette and professional demeanor Job Type:
