RN- Outpatient Interventional Unit- Safety Sensitive

Overview The Outpatient Interventional Unit (OIU) Registered Nurse (RN) will provide care to patients undergoing an outpatient procedure, including but not limited to cardiology procedures, radiology interventions, pain management procedures, and bronchoscopy.
Cardiology procedures may include care before and after the following:
cardiac catheterization, transesophageal echocardiogram, angiograms, arteriograms, and cardioversion.
Radiology procedures may include care before and after lumbar punctures, paracentesis, thoracentesis, and biopsies.
Pain management procedures may be performed at the bedside or in an interventional specials laboratory.
Bronchoscopy may be performed at the bedside or in the bronchoscopy lab.
Post procedure, the OIU RN will assess and/or recover the patient, and notify the physician when necessary, document appropriately, as well as educate and discharge the patient in a timely manner.
The RN will utilize the nursing process in the provision of care and will practice within the scope of the Nurse Practice Act of the State of Arkansas and the policies, procedures, and standards of the Health System.
The RN will demonstrate a commitment to teamwork through effective collaboration efforts.
SAFETY SENSITIVE POSITION:
This position is a designated as Safety Sensitive Position under Act 593 of the State of Arkansas.
An employee who is under the influence of Marijuana constitutes a threat to patients/customers which Conway Regional is responsible for in providing and supporting the delivery health care related services.
Qualifications o Registered Nurse with current, active license to practice in Arkansas o One year experience as a Registered Nurse required o BSN preferred o If less than one year experience as a Registered Nurse, must obtain a BSN degree within 4 years of hire.
o Certification preferred o Proof of high school or equivalent or higher education o Basic keyboarding skills, preferred Recommended Skills Cardiology Certified Nurse Practitioner Nursing Nursing Process Radiology Team Working Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
